Here you can explore this wonderful natural paradise in the Pacific on excursions to the National Park, swim with playful sea lions, relax with the Galápagos giant tortoises and observe next to friendly iguanas the deep blue sea.
Welcome to the beautiful Galápagos Islands! After checking in to your hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, you will first visit the Interpretation Center with your guide, where you will learn everything about the history and future of Galápagos. Afterwards, you will take a short walk to Tijeretas Hill where frigate birds are nesting and from where you have a spectacular view over the island. The rest of the afternoon and evening are at your leisure. For example, you can take a stroll along the waterfront and marvel at the numerous sea lions that make themselves comfortable there, or watch the sunset at Playa Mann.
You will visit the famous Kicker Rock (León Dormido), a volcanic formation amid the ocean. There you will be able to snorkel with sea lions, colorful fish, rays, turtles and if you are lucky also with hammerhead sharks! Currents in Kicker Rock are strong and usually cold, but the marine wonders are totally worth it. After lunch on the boat, you will go to a beautiful, pristine beach, where you will have time to relax. In the afternoon, you return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
In the moist highlands of San Cristóbal, you will visit the giant tortoise breeding center La Galapaguera to witness the most iconic creature of the archipelago in its various life stages. The tortoises wander in a semi-natural habitat, which lends itself to good photographic opportunities. The aim of the reserve is to help restore populations of the threatened San Cristóbal tortoise back into the wild. Afterwards, make your way to the southeast of San Cristóbal island to reach Puerto Chino Beach, a remote beach with a variety of winged and flippered inhabitants. The fine white sand offers plenty of space to stretch out, while the calm water makes the beach a popular place to go swimming. In the mangroves that lie just behind the sand, you'll see finches. The rocky outcrops to the left and right of the sandy beach are home to many sea lions. In the afternoon, you will visit the beach “La Loberia” where you can encounter a colony of sea lions. Overnight in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
Departure in the morning by boat to Española Island. The boat ride takes approx. 1h30 each way. Upon arrival, you will disembark at Suarez Point where you will begin a hike, looking for Nazca and blue footed boobies. After the hike you will go back on board for lunch and then reach a snorkel spot where those who want can enjoy a snorkel session and look for tropical fish, rays, etc. You will be back to San Cristóbal port in the end of the afternoon. Please note : Albatrosses are not on the island from approx. late December to beginning of April. Still, you have a lot of wildlife to see.
Enjoy your last morning on San Cristóbal Island and visit for example Playa Mann or Playa Carola, or take a last stroll along the promenade. On time for your flight back to the mainland, we will bring you to San Cristóbal Airport, where your tour ends.
