Les guides touristiques connaissent la forêt tropicale comme le fond de leur poche et sont heureux de partager avec vous leurs connaissances sur la faune et la flore. Leur expérience permettra de découvrir les animaux timides dans le vert dense de la forêt tropicale.
Le lodge a été construit dans le style traditionnel indigène de la jungle. Nous proposons 6 grandes huttes avec des toits de chaume, 15 chambres spacieuses qui peuvent être utilisées pour un hébergement double, triple, quadruple, quintuple ou familial avec des lits simples et matrimoniaux, tous équipés de moustiquaires pour vous protéger des insectes piqueurs pendant votre repos.
Toutes les chambres ont une salle de bains privée avec douches, eau chaude et toilettes à chasse d'eau. Les huttes ont des balcons pour se détendre et observer la nature ; au petit matin, nous nous réveillons avec le chant des oiseaux, et nous nous couchons avec les sons nocturnes de la forêt tropicale.
Le traitement de l'eau, l'élimination environnementale des déchets solides et liquides, le traitement des matières biodégradables ainsi que les dispositifs et procédures de sécurité incendie approuvés sont très importants pour cet écolodge.
L'électricité est fournie par pour l'éclairage et la recharge des batteries, 110 AC de 18h00 à 22h00. Un générateur silencieux de secours assure l'alimentation électrique.
the main entrance to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve and our last stop in the civilization. We continue by motorized canoe down the Cuyabeno river for about 2 hours and a half, ride downstream to Nicky Amazon Lodge. With luck we’ll be able to observe monkeys and bird species along the way. We arrived with time to get settled and enjoy the surroundings with a welcome cocktail and lunch afterwards. Before dinner we’ll go on a night walk to watch different species of insects, spiders, tree frogs and other species. After dinner your bilingual guide will tell you about the activities for the next days.
we’ll explore the area looking for monkeys and bird in the tropical rainforest. Return for breakfast at the lodge. You’ll have time to relax and get ready for the nest activity. We will walk through the rainforest and our guide will share his knowledge and experiences of the rainforest. Return to the lodge to have lunch and you will have time to get some rest, swim, play soccer, take a nap or just enjoy the nature. In the afternoon, we’ll take a trip by canoe down the Cuyabeno River, observing the wildlife found on the riverbanks, including monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths and pink river dolphins in the river landscape. After dinner, we’ll explore the lodge surroundings to look for nocturnal animals such as insects, spiders, snakes, frogs and more.
we will visit the indigenous Siona community to share their daily life in the Amazon Basin. There they’ll do a demonstration how to make ‘Cassave’, the typical manioc bread of the region. Additionally, we can learn about the local customs and traditions of their culture. Return to the lodge to have lunch. In the afternoon, we go by motorized canoe to reach the Laguna Grande and learn about the 'Igapó', the flooded ecosystem in the forest. After that we can swim in the calm waters while watching the spectacular sunset of the Amazon region. Continuing our adventure observing the night fauna with some species of bats and caimans (alligators). Finally, we ́ll have dinner at the Lodge.
short excursion by canoe to observe some animals. After breakfast you will have time to pack your luggage for you return trip at 08:h30. We provide you a box lunch for the way to the Cuyabeno bridge at 11h00 where a tourist bus will be waiting for you to take you back to Quito.
Note: If you want to get public bus you can do it, you should take a bus from the Cuyabeno Bridge to Lago and then take the bus to go back to Quito, it passes every hour for the Cuyabeno Bridge.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
An original document with photo (passport or identity card – Obligatory!), rain poncho, long sleeve T-shirts and cotton socks, shorts, sandals and/or comfortable walking shoes, and a sweatshirt, flashlight with spare batteries, personal medicine, toiletry bag, (important: please use biodegradable soap and shampoo) swimwear and towel, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses with tether. A waterproof or repellent backpack, protection against insects, Zip lock bag or plastic bag, camera, binoculars (10×40 is recommended). Notepad, Swiss army knife, wet wipes, reading material.
REQUIREMENTS:
For this trip, you should be in good physical shape so that you can enjoy jungle treks of 2-3 hours in a humid, tropical climate. However, if you would like to skip the hikes and other activities described above and only want to take part in the canoe trips, you can of course make use of the lodge’s facilities instead, for example: Relax in the hammock.

ARRIVAL TO LAGO AGRIO:
Tours to the lodges at Cuyabeno National Park start in Lago Agrio. The journey to Lago Agrio takes place from Quito either by private bus (international group, about 6 hours each way, night bus with departure at 23: 00h in Quito the evening before the tour – return trip after the tour with arrival in Quito at about 9:30 PM or by flight (about 40 minutes each way).

Flexibility is the key to the success of every tour. The safety of our passengers is our top priority.
All services not listed as well as private excursions can be arranged upon request and at extra cost according to your interests, such as jungle walks, canoe tours with your naturalist bilingual guide or a local guide from the Siona community. If you travel with children, we recommend taking a private guide to enjoy the excursions with your family at your own pace.
