The landscapes along the way are as unforgettable as the lagoon itself. Crater Viewpoint & Descent At 3,800 meters above sea level, the viewpoint reveals the emerald-blue lagoon formed inside a volcanic caldera. Choose between hiking the rim that connects remote villages or descending 45 minutes to the crater’s shimmering waters. The trail immerses you in Andean nature, with unique plants and wildlife along the way. The return can be demanding, but mules are available for the uphill stretch, making the experience more accessible. After exploring and capturing incredible views, enjoy lunch overlooking the lagoon. With memories of this magical landscape, the journey concludes as you return to Quito in the late afternoon.
