Day by Day
Day 1: Arrival to San Cristobal Airport / El Junco Lagoon, San Cristobal Island
- Arrival at San Cristobal airport and transfer to the vessel. - Hike to El Junco Lagoon, a crater lake in the highlands surrounded by lush vegetation. Enjoy panoramic views and spot frigate birds bathing in the clear waters. Activities: check in and walking.
Day 2: North Seymour Island / Dragon Hill, Santa Cruz Island
In North Seymour Island: Walk through low vegetation to spot a variety of birds, including blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and numerous frigate birds—watch for males with bright red chests. In Dragon Hill explore a rocky trail home to Galapagos land iguanas, cactus forests, and Palo Santo trees. High tide offers great snorkeling with colorful fish near the shore. Activities: walking, snorkeling and dinghy ride.
Day 3: Sierra Negra Volcano / Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center, Isabela Island
Tintoreras is a group of islets with striking lava formations, perfect for water activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and dinghy rides. Spot turtles, sharks, penguins, and sea lions. Sierra Negra, one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos, offers a hike through guava forests with stunning views of the island’s five other volcanoes. Activities: walking.
Day 4: Moreno Point / Urbina Bay, Isabela Island
Moreno Point: This lava landscape hides green lagoons and mangroves, ideal for spotting penguins, herons, and flamingos. Snorkeling or a dinghy ride along the shore offers chances to see sea turtles and white-tip sharks. Urbina Bay: formed by a 1954 uplift, this site reveals exposed coral and marine fossils. It’s now home to land iguanas, giant tortoises, hawks, and flightless cormorants, with great snorkeling opportunities for spotting turtles, rays, and tropical fish. Activities: walking, snorkeling and dinghy ride.
Day 5: Espinoza Point / Vicente Roca Point, Isabela Island
- Fernandina is the youngest island in the Galapagos, Fernandina features black lava landscapes and abundant marine iguanas. Snorkeling reveals iguanas feeding underwater, while trails pass mangroves, lava cacti, and Sally Lightfoot crabs on the rocks. Vicente Roca Point es this scenic bay with two coves hosts nesting boobies, gulls, petrels, and terns. Cooler waters attract rich marine life—ideal for snorkeling and spotting whales, dolphins, and sea lions. Activities: walking, snorkeling and dinghy ride.
Day 6: Rabida Island / Bartholomew Island
- Rabisa Island, famous for its red sand beach and volcanic landscape, Rabida offers snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding with chances to see reef sharks and rays. A sea lion colony and nesting pelicans line the shore, while inland trails reveal mockingbirds, warblers, and all nine species of Darwin’s finches. - In Bartholomew Island climb a trail to the summit for stunning views of Pinnacle Rock and lava fields. The northern beach, a turtle nesting site, offers excellent snorkeling with chances to see rays, penguins, and reef sharks. Activities: walking, snorkeling and dinghy ride.
Day 7: Kicker Rock / Witch Hill / Giant Tortoise´s Reserve, San Cristobal Island
- Kicker Rock is eroded volcanic cone is home to blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, and sea lions. As the vessel sails around it, enjoy great photo opportunities and the dramatic scenery. - Wich Hill this white sand beach offers views of Kicker Rock and calm waters perfect for snorkeling. Walks along the beach or inland trails reveal shorebirds, finches, and mockingbirds. - In Gian Tortoise´s Reserve, 5 km hike leads to a natural habitat for hundreds of giant tortoises, along with lava lizards and mockingbirds. The nearby beach is a turtle nesting site and great for snorkeling with sea turtles and reef sharks. Activities: walking, snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle board and dinghy ride.
Day 8: San Cristobal Interpretation Center / Transfer to San Cristobal Airport
- The San Cristobal Interpretation Centrer offers exhibits on the islands’ natural and human history, as well as conservation efforts. Trails behind the center lead to scenic ocean and volcanic rock viewpoints. - Depart from San Cristobal airport. Activities: walking and check out.
